Every year, it happens like clockwork. December sneaks up on me, and suddenly I’m swept into the Christmas whirlwind—decorating the tree, finding the perfect gifts, baking cookies, and juggling holiday parties. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of it. The twinkling lights, the festive music, the cozy nights sipping hot chocolate—it’s pure magic.
But in all the hustle, I tend to forget the most important part of Christmas: Jesus.
It’s ironic, isn’t it? The whole season is supposed to celebrate His birth, yet I find myself more focused on my to-do list than my Savior. Year after year, I tell myself I’ll slow down and focus on Him. I’ve always wanted to do an Advent Bible study, but I never seem to find one that really clicks for me. Either they’re too intense (I’m already stressed enough!) or they don’t dive deep enough to feel meaningful.
So, this year, I decided to do something about it.
I made my own Advent Bible study.
Before you think, “Wow, that sounds ambitious,” let me reassure you: this study is not about adding another overwhelming task to your plate. It’s designed to fit into your life, even during the busiest time of year.
Here’s the deal: It’s 15 minutes a day. That’s it. Just 15 minutes to pause, breathe, and refocus your heart on what truly matters.
Each day, we’ll explore a short Bible passage and reflect on a simple truth about Jesus—His love, His peace, His faithfulness, His gift to us. There’s space to jot down your thoughts, prayers, or even just a single word that speaks to your heart that day.
It’s low-commitment but high-impact.
For me, creating this study was like giving myself permission to embrace a slower, more intentional Christmas season. It’s helped me step away from the chaos and remember that Christmas isn’t about the perfect Pinterest-worthy tree or the fanciest wrapping paper. It’s about celebrating the gift of Emmanuel—God with us.
I want the same for you.
If you’ve ever felt like the holidays get away from you, or like your faith gets lost in the shuffle, I invite you to join me. This Advent study is for anyone who wants to reset their focus and truly prepare their heart for Christmas.
Because here’s the truth: Jesus doesn’t need our perfectly executed holiday plans. He just wants us.
This season, let’s take the pressure off ourselves. Let’s make space for Him. Let’s rediscover the wonder of Christmas—not in the shopping malls or the cookie exchanges, but in the quiet moments of worship and reflection.
You can grab the Advent Bible study here. My prayer is that it blesses your heart as much as it’s blessed mine.
Let’s make this Christmas one to remember—for all the right reasons.
What’s one way you’re planning to focus on Jesus this season? Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear from you!
